Night Hawks and Thunder Hawks Win Big!

State Champs State Champs

After an incredible 2023-2024 season, the Ad Astra Robotics Club grew from 1 team to 3 teams! In the 2024-2025 season, all three teams performed well enough a regional competitions to secure an invitation to the Kansas State Championship tournament in Garden City.

The Night Hawks, our middle school team, won the Kansas State Excellence in Robotics Award! This means that the Night Hawks scored in the top of their division across all four areas of the competition: Engineering Notebook, Team Interviews, Skills, and Alliance Matches! This award recognizes them as the top middle school robotics team in the state of Kansas, and guaranteed an invitation to the 2025 VEX World Championship.

The Thunder Hawks, one of our two elementary school teams, scored the highest skills score in the state due to their coding/autonomous driving. For context, their high school of 100 points was three times the second place score of 34 points! Normally this is not a tournament qualifier. However, another team double qualified, giving the team a chance to attend the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship as well!

Support the team by making a gift that helps the teams cover the cost of travel to Texas, the $1800 registration fee, and their future in STEM. Thanks for your generosity!
